Hope is Alive!
Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” John 20:18 When Jesus said, “It is finished,” It was an end and a beginning; It was the start of a new life in Him When He paid our debt for sinning. His death was not a period- The end of His life; Instead it was a semi-colon- Hope of heaven in the afterlife. Remember the resurrection, When Jesus came alive! Hope is never canceled; It's what helps us thrive! Easter is full of hope. It’s a promise fulfilled. It’s a joyful celebration. But there is no Easter without Good Friday, which seemed to dash hope,…

Triumphant Entry
Jesus came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives. There the whole crowd of disciples began to praise God with joy. In loud voices they praised Him for all the miracles they had seen. They shouted, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” Luke 19:37-38 When Jesus rode into Jerusalem On a lowly donkey's colt, The crowd became excited, But the Pharisees feared a revolt. The crowds shouted, “Hosanna!” Laying palm leaves on the ground. They expected Jesus to save them as A warrior king to be crowned. The people were right to honor Him, But they understood Him not.…

Be Still
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Ps 37:7 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Ps 46:10 Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because He has roused Himself from His holy dwelling. Zech 2:13 Be still, don't fret When evil seems to succeed; Wait patiently for God to act, Thus from worry you are freed. Practicing Lent
“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” Colossians 3:2 Jesus offered up His life. A sacrificial Lamb; The Way, the Truth, and the Life, He is the great I Am. What can I offer Jesus During Lenten season? Something truly worthy so I'd miss it for a reason. Lenten practice helps me to Dwell on God and think of All that He has done for me And His never-ending love. I can busy myself indulging in Things of temporary pleasure; Or invest my time on the needs of others That build up my heavenly treasure. When tempted with what I'm fasting I…

God’s Faithfulness
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 God is faithful to His word, His promises endure. He will never forsake us, Of this I am sure. Though I may sin, He loves me still. That's why He died Upon Calvary's hill. When I repent God will forgive, So, with Him I'll eternally live. Thank You for Your faithfulness, You're always there for me. Thank You for Your steadfast love, That truly sets me free! I have spent some time recently meditating on God’s faithfulness. It’s comforting to know He keeps His promises.…

Voices
So, faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17 “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come.” John 16:13 From the world, and nature, and Almighty God, Many voices are calling out. We must discern every voice we hear, Be it a whisper or a shout. The world cries out to go your own way, Do whatever pleases you. Yet consequences do more harm than good, So, we repent and start…

Shining Star
When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. Matthew 2:10 When the wise men saw the star, They were overcome with joy! They traveled many miles To see the baby boy. When they came upon the house Where the holy family dwelt, They presented the babe with gifts, While with humble hearts they knelt. Today we need to be that star Shining all year long, Guiding others to the Lord; Let His light in you shine on! Overjoyed! That’s pretty much how I feel throughout the Christmas season. There’s so much cause for joy during this time. It starts with pulling out the decorations, and the joy each item brings…
