God's Love

God’s Precious Jewels

And they shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “in that day when I publicly recognize and openly declare them to be My jewels (My special possession, My peculiar treasure). And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.” Malachi 3:17
We are God’s treasures,
Created by His hands,
Uniquely precious jewels
From many different lands.

We stand before Him open,
Unashamed of who we are;
For we are heirs to the throne,
No matter what our mar.

He breathed His life into us,
On the day that we were born;
We’re worthy to sit at His table,
No matter how chipped or worn.

So we rest secure in His arms,
Though the strong winds blow;
For He shields the apples of His eye,
Wherever we may go.

You are a child of God. He formed you to be your own unique self. You are beautiful and treasured. Perhaps, you don’t see yourself that way. You focus on your imperfections and forget that God sees you through a completely different lens. He knows everything about you, because He created you. He calls you His precious jewel! We are born like diamonds in the rough. Natural gemstones are rarely perfect. But their imperfections are the very things that make them beautiful! He knows your talents and your shortcomings and will use them both to His glory if you let Him. Embrace all of who you are and allow God to work in you to become that sparkling jewel.

Remember that every person is a treasured gem in God’s jewelry box. Some are rubies, some are sapphires, some are emeralds, some are diamonds, and so on. But all our beautifully and wonderfully made! See others through the same lens as God, beautifully unique treasures. Part of our mission as Christians is to bring out the best in others through our words and actions. (Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.) As we help others sparkle, our own lives shine brightly. Remember, you were born to sparkle!

Lord, I am so grateful to know that I am considered Your precious jewel.
Help me to remember that when I'm not feeling very sparkly.
Give me eyes to see every person as your treasured gem,
Especially when their imperfections are all I see.
May I love as You love.
Amen
